ANTICIPATORY STAFFING - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
TOWN OF ANNAPOLIS ROYAL
As a result of an anticipated vacancy, the Town of Annapolis Royal is seeking applications for a full time or part time (80%) administrative assistant. The position requires a multitasking
individual with a high energy level to provide direct service to citizens, businesses and visitors, and to support the work of Town Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and five
departments. The work includes comprehensive documentation of Town procedures and processes and records management.
The successful candidate will have excellent customer service, written and oral communications and problem solving skills, and will be able to work independently with a minimum of
supervision. Computer literacy is also a requirement.

Director of Program Development
Annapolis Region Community Arts Council has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic,
creative and focused individual with extensive experience in public relations and funding
development. Reporting to the board of directors, this individual will be responsible for
the overall development, organization and execution of ARCAC's strategic planning and programs.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Accessing new funding opportunities to support programs and operations.
- Development of relationships to promote the society and grow opportunities.
- Work with committees to produce programs and funding proposals.
- Producing regular reports to the board within the areas of responsibility.
Initially this is a term position which will allow the right individual to develop an
exciting career, with the potential to become a full time position. Offering a competitive

Contract Work
Over the last two years, the 300th anniversary team for the renaming of Annapolis Royal
from Port Royal has developed many useful partnerships and sponsorships that have
resulted in a co-operative and coordinated marketing approach for the Town. The Town
and its partners would like to build on the lessons learned and work towards establishing
a sustainable marketing model for the future.
The Town and its partners are seeking an individual to review existing short and
long term plans for the marketing of Annapolis Royal and to develop a structure to
oversee a collective and sustainable marketing effort for the future. The work includes
leveraging municipal seed money available for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, enhancing
the relationships that have already been built with the many groups and organizations in
and around the Town and neighbouring municipal units, building new relationships, and
supporting an inclusive and collaborative approach to marketing.
