Mission Statement: "The Annapolis Valley Regional Library provides access to the world of educational, recreational, and information resources in a variety of formats and technologies."

The Annapolis Valley Regional Library is one of nine regional library systems in Nova Scotia, and was established in April of 1949. The area includes Annapolis County, Kings County and the District of West Hants and is approximately 6,643 square kilometers in size. There are eleven branch libraries located in communities throughout the Annapolis Valley. The rural areas of the Annapolis Valley are serviced by two mobile branches or bookmobiles. The Annapolis Valley Regional Library is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of municipal and provincial representatives. The Annapolis Royal branch is located at the back of the Town Hall, at 285 St. George St. .
