Election - October 20, 2012
Do you want to learn more about local politics?
Jack Novak, a professor at Dalhousie University who specializes in local government, has developed a series of community workshops to educate people who are considering running for municipal office in Nova Scotia. In the spring of 2012, these workshops will be held throughout the province.
The workshops will cover topics that will be of interest to voters and to potential candidates in the 2012 municipal elections. Each workshop will be between two and three hours long and will be conducted in a friendly, interesting and interactive manner.
Individuals, who are thinking about running for municipal council, want to work on an election campaign, are thinking about becoming more involved in their municipality or community or just want to learn more about municipal government will find this workshop valuable.
